AEW star Will Ospreay failed to gain momentum ahead of Full Gear 2024. He was recently involved in a huge eight-man tag team match.
On the last edition of Dynamite, Powerhouse Hobbs returned to the company following a lengthy absence. He was medically cleared to wrestle a few weeks ago after recovering from a knee injury. He was revealed as the mystery partner of Ricochet against the Don Callis Family. Following an amazing tag match, chaos broke out between the teams.
Will Ospreay also returned to AEW after being out for a significant amount of time. He will face Kyle Fletcher, his former friend, at the Full Gear pay-per-view. On tonight's Dynamite, the Aerial Assassin, Ricochet, Mark Davis, and Powerhouse Hobbs battled the Don Callis Family in the opening contest.
The action between the eight men started before entering the ring. Shockingly, Powerhouse Hobbs seemingly hurt his knee again and was taken backstage to be evaluated. However, he returned to the ring before the bout ended. Despite their best efforts, the babyface team failed to defeat the Don Callis Family as Konosuke Takeshita pinned Mark Davis.
This may not be good for Will Ospreay, as his opponent, Kyle Fletcher, has the upper hand. It will be interesting to see how things go down at Full Gear.
