WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray recently spoke in support of AEW star Rush after the latter received online criticism from fans. The veteran wrestler compared the 35-year-old to RAW Superstar Bron Breakker. Rush is embroiled in a feud with former AEW World Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF).
The latest episode of Wednesday Night Dynamite saw El Toro Blanco lock horns with Deonn Rusman in what was effectively a Squash Match. The 35-year-old launched a post-match attack on Rusman before MJF came out to attack him. The bitter rivals will square off on next week's episode of Dynamite.
During a recent episode of the Busted Open podcast, Bully Ray stated that Rush is ''more credible'' than people think. The WWE Hall of Famer also called out a section of fans for calling the AEW star ''boring!''. Ray claimed that Rush was as intense as former NXT Champion Bron Breakker.
"I think he is more credible than people are giving him credit for. I saw someone chime in on the old Twitter machine and say, 'Rush is boring!' Your mother's boring. That's the last thing that Rush is. There is nothing boring about him. He is as intense as anybody is. He is as intense as Bron Breakker; he might not show it in his eyes, but trust me, Rush is intense!" he said. [5:30 to 6:00]
