AEW's women's division might be getting another huge return as Tay Melo has announced her return to the squared circle. Melo has been out of action due to pregnancy.
It was recently announced that at the STARDOM New Year Dream event on January 3, 2025, Tay Melo will be making her in-ring return. She will team up with Mina Shirakawa to take on ROH Women's World Champion Athena and Thekla. Melo was on maternity leave and welcomed her first child last year.
In a recent video on X (formerly known as Twitter), Tay Melo announced her return to the ring at STARDOM in Japan. She broke down while expressing her excitement and revealed that she'll be bringing her daughter along for the ride.
"After two long years, I'm finally back. I could not ask for a better Christmas gift. I'm going to Japan. I'm going to STARDOM. And I'm not going alone. Because, I'm bringing my little me with me. Happy Holidays to you all, Thankyou soo much for all the support and I see you all on January 3rd in Japan." [0:08-0:46]

AEW star Tay Melo thanks Triple H and WWE for giving her a chance
Tay Melo debuted in WWE at the Mae Young Classic Tournament in 2017 as Taynara Conti. She competed in NXT from 2017 till her release from the promotion in 2020. AEW signed her to a contract later that year.
In a post on X (formerly known as Twitter), Tay Melo thanked WWE and Triple H for offering a future in professional wrestling. She also thanked All Elite Wrestling for giving her a second chance in the business.
"I’m grateful for every opportunity I had in life. Thank you WWE to find me in 🇧🇷 and offer me a future that I could never imagine I would have. Thank you AEW for giving me a second chance, to show me that things were not done & I was just in the beginning. Thank you PRO WRESTLING," Tay Melo tweeted.
