Britt Baker had some encouraging words for WWE ring announcer Samantha Irvin today. It's rare for talent from across the promotional divide to shout each other out, but Dr. Baker couldn't help herself.

Britt Baker wasn't able to make it to WrestleDream last night, but she watched her beloved Pittsburgh Steelers play against the Las Vegas Raiders today. WWE's Samantha Irvin sang the National Anthem to open the NFL game at Allegiant Stadium, and Baker was impressed.

The former AEW Women's World Champion took to her Instagram story with a shout-out to Irvin. Check it out here.

"Okay sis!! @samanthairvinwwe," Baker wrote in her Instagram Stories.

Samantha Irvin is engaged to AEW's Ricochet in real life. She recently came to her fiancé's defense as he engaged with trolls on social media.

Britt Baker watches both WWE and AEW

Despite being a foundational star in All Elite Wrestling, Dr. Britt Baker is passionate about wrestling in general and often watches WWE programming, too.

Rumors of bad behavior have followed Baker around for several years. Despite many of these being debunked, some fans still feel that the former AEW Women's World Champion is a bully and a detriment to the promotion's locker room.

Britt addressed the constant rumors in a recent interview with Fightful. The Doctor claimed that she wouldn't let herself lose sleep over speculation and revealed that while she loves AEW's women's division, she also watches WWE.

"I'm at the point in my career where I'm happy. I know what goes on and what doesn't. Whatever you heard about me, it's true. Whatever you heard I said, it's true. I said it. I did it! I don't care! Because it gets to a point where it's laughable. You can't lose sleep, you can't sit at home and cry because people say you're a bully. 'You're this, you're that.' At the end of the day, my priority and passion is pro wrestling. I love the AEW women's division. I love AEW, I love pro wrestling. I watch both companies religiously," she said.

Baker missed last week's Dynamite, reportedly because of strep throat. However, a section of fans immediately began to speculate on her status after reports revealed that she'd been scheduled to lose a match to Willow Nightingale, so it seems that the rumors regarding her behavior are still following her.
