AEW star QT Marshall had an interesting claim about his Full Gear opponent after meeting CEO Tony Khan. Marshall is the Vice President of Show and Creative Coordination in All Elite Wrestling.

After some back-and-forth exchanges on social media between the two, Big Boom AJ versus QT Marshall was made official by AEW for the upcoming Full Gear Pay-Per-View. The match is set to take place on Zero Hour. QT Marshall is also reportedly planning to release a diss track against AJ ahead of their match.

On X (fka Twitter), QT Marshall claimed that AJ might back down from his match against him at Full Gear and let Tony Khan know about his decision. QT made this statement after AEW posted that Big Boom would be present on this week's Dynamite.

"I assume AJ wants to let @TonyKhan know that he’s backing out of #AEWFullGear #ZeroHour in person! 💥 or ☠️"

Matt Hardy believes Tony Khan should book smaller venues for AEW shows

All Elite Wrestling shows often seemingly suffer from lack of attendance and many have advised the promotion to move away from booking larger arenas. Former star Matt Hardy also spoke on the issue and wanted Tony Khan to make some changes to address this criticism.

In a recent edition of his Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, the former United States Champion said that Tony Khan shouldn't be aiming to fill big buildings for All Elite Wrestling shows as it must feel weird for the fans in attendance.

"It is [a no-brainer], and for AEW, those scenarios are tough. You don't need to book those big buildings if you can't constantly or can't regularly get them full, or close to full, because I feel like it's one of those things... If you're in a 10,000-11,000 seat venue, and there's a couple thousand people there, people kind of look around, like, 'Oh, are we cool for being here?' You know, it's just weird," Matt Hardy said.

Tony Khan occasionally books smaller venues for All Elite Wrestling's Dynamite and Collision shows. It will be interesting to see if Khan continues to book them next year.
