An AEW star has recently confirmed via social media that they are officially cancer-free after a recent health scare.
The star in question is former AEW Tag Team Champion Dax Harwood, one half of FTR, who recently returned to action after he and his partner Cash Wheeler were dethroned by Ricky Starks and Big Bill.
However, people might not have known that Dax had a health scare earlier this year. Taking to Twitter (X) earlier today, Harwood revealed that after a check-up with his gastroenterologist, there was a slight worry that he might have had a cancerous growth in his body. However, after a rather invasive colonoscopy, Dax revealed that he was cancer-free.
"Few months ago, I had a check up w/my gastroenterologist. They were worried about a few things. A little more invasive colonoscopy showed that I was free and clear of any polyps or cancerous growths. The reason for this is, guys, as embarrassing as it may be, get checked. Laugh away," tweeted Dax.

The clips attached to the tweet were captured by Dax Harwood's wife while her husband was clearly still feeling the effects of the anesthetic he was given before his procedure. Dax thanked his doctor while also telling her that she might have a future in the industry, despite the fact that she was standing right next to him. It's safe to say that these clips will provide laughs for Dax's family, friends and fans for many years to come.
Why did FTR lose the AEW Tag Team Championships?
As previously mentioned, FTR lost the AEW Tag Team Championships to Ricky Starks and Big Bill in a match that took everyone by surprise. After beating the likes of Bullet Club Gold, The Young Bucks and Aussie Open during their reign, Dax Harwood and Cash Wheeler were dethroned in less than five minutes.
But why did they lose? According to Dave Meltzer and Bryan Alvarez on Wrestling Observer Radio, Cash Wheeler had reportedly been working through an injury that led to the title switch.
However, that reason was quickly disputed when it was later revealed that FTR had been angling for a storyline where they would eventually challenge Starks and Bill to a rematch later on down the line. Those plans might change soon, as the House of Black attacked Dax and Cash on the most recent edition of Collision.
