Darby Allin has made his name as a daredevil in AEW. While some believe he is this generation's Jeff Hardy, others have claimed that he's too reckless for his own good. Allin's latest idea for a television stunt might be his boldest yet.
Darby Allin was set to climb Mount Everest earlier this year, but a broken foot derailed that plan. He hasn't given up on the climb but was forced to push it back to next year. After that, he's thinking of jumping a car over a line of buses.
Speaking on the Chaz & AJ Morning Show on 99.1 PLR, Darby revealed that he wants to bring dangerous, death-defying stunts back to television. He laid out his plan to jump a line of buses on live TV:
"That’s a big thing that I actually want to do when I get back from Everest. I want to have a live stunt on TV where we have a bunch of buses lined up and I jump a car over them. I think there needs to be something like that again. In the world of TV, just like, ‘At the top of the hour, will he die?’ [Laughs]"

Allin confirmed that he wanted to do the stunt live at the arena rather than simply filming it at his house:
"Live TV. I just feel like why not. [Asked how many cars would he would jump]. I don’t know. When I jumped the Jeep over my house, that was 96 feet. But the only thing with that is there was no landing ramp. We landed on mobile home trailers. I don’t want to do it at my house. I want to do it live at an arena, like in the parking lot. In the parking lot of an arena, we’ll just block off, where we’re performing that night, in the front of the arena, there’s a row of buses, and I just want to jump that." [H/T Fightful]

For Darby Allin, dangerous stunts are just a part of life. The 31-year-old has famously claimed that he "would be wild without wrestling," and he's proven that multiple times over the last few years.
The face-painted star is known for his skateboarding stunts but has also jumped a Jeep over his house and rappelled from the ceiling on AEW TV. He's also taken to seeking thrills during interviews.
In his appearance on the Chaz & AJ Morning Show, he dunked his head into a bowl of water and held his breath for three minutes. You can check out an image of the feat below:
Darby Allin has expressed his willingness to become the face of All Elite Wrestling, but many think he's still too reckless. Only time will tell whether the young star can rise to the heights of his mentor, Sting, and AEW's other top stars.
