MJF returned to AEW at the sixth annual Double Or Nothing event, and has been on a tear ever since. The multi-time champion is busy preparing to wrestle his first match of 2024, but another top All Elite talent has just lashed out over their past and near future.
Maxwell Jacob Friedman returned to Dynamite earlier this month but was interrupted by another star who recently returned to action for the company - Rush. The two have gone at it since then and will wrestle for the first time in tonight's Dynamite opener, with no commercial interruptions.
MJF vs. Rush was once scheduled for MLW's Never Say Never 2018 event, but Friedman was pulled due to an elbow injury, and the La Facción Ingobernable leader ended up defeating Swerve Strickland.
El Toro Blanco took to X today to lash out at The Salt Of The Earth ahead of tonight's Dynamite opening match. Rush referenced their nixed MLW match and used some non-PG language to taunt the former AEW World Champion:

"Espero esta vez si te presten y no corras como hace años b***h I have wanted to kick your f*****g a*s since you b*****d out of wrestling with me in MLW. Don’t go cry to the office after I beat your ass, remember, Hijo de tu puta madre….if you mess with the Bull….," Rush wrote.

AEW is expected to announce the MJF vs. Rush rematch for Forbidden Door later this month. The bout has been in the works for at least one month.
