The AEW roster is brimming with talent, especially in the women's division. They have several prominent names such as Britt Baker, Mariah May, Mercedes Mone, Hikaru Shida, and more.
One of the company's biggest assets is the former AEW Women's World Champion, Toni Storm. She held the title for 281 days before losing it to her former ally, Mariah May, at the All In pay-per-view, earlier this year. After she lost the title, she was seen leaving Wembley Stadium, distraught and heartbroken. The 28-year-old has not appeared in All Elite Wrestling since this loss. However, she has been wrestling in Japan's World Wonder Ring Stardom. Interestingly, she left the venue at Stardom's Nighter In Korakuen recently in the same way as she left Wembley.
Storm is reportedly on her way to Mexico to wrestle. It is not known when she will return to AEW. However, when she comes back, she will certainly come for May's Women's World Championship. This story has only become more fascinating in the past few weeks because Mina Shirakawa has been added to the mix.

AEW Women's World Champion Mariah May believes that Toni Storm’s in-ring career is over
Mariah May and Toni Storm were on-screen best friends until the former betrayed the latter after winning the 2024 Women's Owen Hart Foundation Tournament. The 26-year-old recently stated that her former ally's career in All Elite Wrestling is over and she will never return to the Jacksonville-based company again.
"I don’t think she’s ever going to come back. I think that was her retirement. I don’t think she can speak anymore. She doesn’t have a single thought running through her head at any one time. She just speaks nonsense," said May. [H/T Sportskeeda]
It remains to be seen when May and Storm will lock horns once again.
