AEW star Maria Kanellis recently provided an update on her medical condition amid her absence from the Jacksonville-based promotion. She recently revealed what medical condition she has been suffering from.
Maria Kanellis is currently signed to All Elite Wrestling as an on-screen manager. She also appears in Ring of Honor (ROH). The 42-year-old gained prominence during her time in WWE, where she had two different runs before getting released in 2020. Maria has not been on TV for quite some time now as she is dealing with a medical condition.
Kanellis recently disclosed that she is suffering from pheochromocytoma and she has to take medications before undergoing surgery. Meanwhile, she came up with a positive health update. The former 24/7 Champion took to X/Twitter to inform that she is not anxious and is feeling better as of now.
"Been on alpha blockers for 3 days and can definitely feel a difference. It’s wild. No hot flashes, my heart isn’t racing, and I’m not as anxious. But, I’m exhausted. I feel like someone turned the volume down on the world. #adrenalgland," Maria Kanellis shared.

AEW star Maria Kanellis on considering retirement from wrestling
AEW star Maria Kanellis has been dealing with health issues and has not wrestled since 2019 as well. While speaking on the Gabby AF podcast recently, Kanellis reflected on considering retirement from wrestling.
"It’s also when timing meets opportunity and it’s where do you belong? So, mentally, that makes it really tough. But it also gives you a sense of clarity of like, okay, I know I’m not happy with where my career is right now and whether that means in wrestling or just it’s time to move on and do something else, I’m not sure," Maria Kanellis said.
Only time will tell when Kanellis will be seen again on AEW TV after getting healthy.
