An AEW star's new year didn't start as planned due to ongoing chaos. Since last week, major wildfires have engulfed Los Angeles in flames. This disaster has led to the evacuation of many homes as the wildfire was unstoppable in many regions. Many wrestlers have tweeted about the calamity and told everyone to stay safe.
Former AEW World Tag Team Champion Anthony Bowens was also affected by the wildfires. The Acclaimed is on the verge of splitting as neither of the stars has been on the same page. Max Caster's overconfidence has led the tag team to defeat multiple times.
Anthony Bowens recently revealed on Twitter that he didn't attend the latest edition of Collision as he had to evacuate his home as the fire was approaching their area. He also claimed that he and his neighborhood were safe from the fire.
"Hey everyone, I unfortunately won't be making it to Collision today. The #PalisadesFire started moving towards my home last night and as a precaution Michael and I had to pack up and leave the area. We are safe and so is the neighborhood as of now. Hopefully it stays that way. Shout out to the LAFD for working so hard to try and slow the spread of this fire down," he wrote.
Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.
Anthony Bowens didn't save AEW's Max Caster from the Hurt Syndicate
The Hurt Syndicate took on The Acclaimed on the first edition of Dynamite on Max, Fight for the Fallen. The highly anticipated bout ended with a massive twist.
During the contest, Max and Anthony had multiple fallouts. In the end, Bobby Lashley applied the Hurt Lock to the Platinum star. Shockingly, instead of saving his partner, Anthony Bowens went backstage.
It will be interesting to see when Anthony will return to the Jacksonville-based promotion as he has been absent for a lengthy period.
