AEW star reacts to brutal Kevin Owens match with a three-word message

A current AEW star reacted to his viral match with the former WWE Universal Champion, Kevin Owens from years ago. The star battled Owens in a brutal encounter during their time in the Indies.

The AEW star in question is Evil Uno, a member of the Dark Order faction. The 37-year-old star has been a part of the Jacksonville-based promotion since its inception in 2019. He is currently a performer on Tony Khan owned-Ring of Honor as well. Meanwhile, Uno recalled one of his old matches against Kevin Owens.

Owens, who previously wrestled under the name "Kevin Steen," was a big name on the independent wrestling scene before he arrived in the WWE. He wrestled a number of terrific matches against some of the current big names back then. Recently, a clip of a match between Kevin and the current AEW star, Evil Uno, went viral.

The match took place on an indie wrestling show many years back and had some brutal spots as well. Interestingly, Evil Uno took notice of the viral clip from his match with Owens. Uno reacted to the clip on X/Twitter with three words, recalling those days:

At Saturday Night's Main Event a few weeks back, Kevin Owens failed to capture the Undisputed WWE Championship from Cody Rhodes. Owens continued his madness, claiming he was the rightful Champion, not Cody.

On a recent episode of SmackDown, The American Nightmare challenged Owens to a ladder match at the Royal Rumble 2025 PLE with the Undisputed Championship hanging in the balance.

Moreover, the storyline between Owens and Cody has been ongoing for months, and Drew McIntyre also appeared on SmackDown last Friday. It remains to be seen where the story is headed.
