An AEW star reacted in a hilarious manner after CM Punk suddenly showed up in a towel during a WWE live event. This act by Punk will be a trending topic among the fans for many days.

Punk came out in a towel and shower cap to help Damian Priest fend off Dominik Mysterio and Ludwig Kaiser at the live event at Madison Square Garden on December 26. The crowd were surprisingly taken aback to see The Second City Saint come out in nothing but a towel, seemingly straight out of the shower.

AEW star Danhausen, who is good friends with CM Punk, took to Instagram to post a story about the incident. He posted an image of Punk while also blurring out certain parts which made the image even more hilarious.

The two stars are very good friends from their time in AEW and this interaction just goes to show how deep their friendship is.

Damian Priest hails CM Punk after he makes the save

Damian Priest has been having a tough time with The Judgment Day ever since he split from them. He has been constantly attacked by his former stable-mates and that was also the case at the MSG event.

After Punk made the save by running out in nothing but a towel and shower cap, Priest took to X/Twitter to acknowledge the save and hailed his new friend. He called on his followers to get a friend like CM Punk.

Replying to a video from WWE about the incident, Priest wrote:

"Get yo self a friend like this! @CMPunk is my dawg!"

It is great to see this friendship blossoming at a time when Priest is practically on his own. Punk knows a thing or two about being a lone warrior and he could definitely impart valuable knowledge to the former World Heavyweight Champion.

It will be interesting to see how this interaction manifests itself in the ring during Monday Night RAW on Netflix in the new year.
