AEW star reacts to Dustin Rhodes' heartwarming post amid contract expiry rumors

A top AEW star reacted to an emotional post by Dustin Rhodes amid the rumors of his contract expiry. The star in question is none other than Sammy Guevara.

Sammy Guevara formed a tag team with Dustin Rhodes (fka Goldust) last month and the two won the Ring of Honor World Tag Team Championship on an episode of Collision. The duo successfully defended their titles on the recent episode of Collision by defeating The Undisputed Kingdom in a bunkhouse brawl match.

After the brutal match on Collision last Saturday, Dustin shared a picture with blood on his face and shared a message admitting his love for All Elite Wrestling. It was recently reported that Dustin's contract with Tony Khan's promotion is set to expire soon. Rhodes wrote the following in his post:

"I love @AEW!! For 5 yrs I have been on this 'One Last Ride', and I have loved it. This place is good for my soul!"

Interestingly, Dustin's tag partner, Sammy Guevara took notice of his emotional post and sent out a heartfelt four-word message for the legend:

"You the man Dustin. 🤘🏽"

Dustin Rhodes almost retired after leaving WWE

After the recent All In 2024, Dustin Rhodes shared an emotional post on the X/Twitter social media platform admitting that he thought he was done after leaving the WWE referring to it as "fed." Dustin wrote the following:

"Gonna be real for a moment. If You asked me when I left the fed if I was done. I would have told you yes. AEW called and passion was renewed. I have had 5 wonderful passionate yrs in @AEW . I am grateful that I can still perform at a very high level, and that impresses me personally."

Dustin also claimed that he is doing his career's best work in AEW. Only time will tell what the future has in store for the 55-year-old legend.
