WWE Superstar Sheamus recently got to talk about his career, as he looked back at being a part of one of the most iconic tag teams in recent history alongside a certain AEW star. The person in question has given their reaction to being given a quick shout-out.
In 2016, Claudio Castagnoli (fka Cesaro) and The Celtic Warrior formed The Bar. They went from being bitter rivals to close friends and became one of the most popular tag teams of the time. They would also go on to have a total of 5 title reigns together.
While speaking to Chris Van Vliet, Sheamus spoke about The Bar and how he enjoyed getting to work alongside Claudio. He was full of praise for the AEW star. The Death Rider himself reacted to a snippet of the interview on X/Twitter, as he too looked back at their time as a tandem.

Sheamus also talked about scrapped plans with another AEW star
During the same interview, the former WWE Champion talked about another major star with whom he wanted to get into a storyline until his sudden departure from the company.
Back in August 2023, Cope (fka Edge) competed in his final match in WWE against Sheamus. The Celtic Warrior revealed that they pitched a storyline between them but this was shut down. They instead focused on The Rated-R Superstar having his last match with the company with him. At the time, he had no clue that his contract was up, and he believed he was going to stay.
"We talked about it. I remember we talked about doing an angle or a storyline together for a while. We came up with a storyline, it was shot down for whatever reason. And then it just happened. I just got a call, I think it was because we did a promo the week before, and then we did the match the week after. Edge’s contract was coming up. I didn’t know. No one knew if he was going to stay or go. No one really knew. I didn’t know. I thought he was going to stay, because we’re talking doing something after that as well. But yeah, it was just a situation," Sheamus said.
He also revealed recently that he signed a new 5-year deal with the company. It remains to be seen if this is any indication that he does not plan on leaving the company till he retires, as this new contract will run until his 50s.
