The Hurt Syndicate has been dominant in its AEW run so far. However, one superstar on the roster has refused to recruit outside help to deal with the powerful trio of MVP Bobby Lashley and Shelton Benjamin.

Since The Hurt Syndicate was formed in AEW, they have had one specific superstar as their target: Swerve Strickland. He and his manager, Prince Nana, have been on the receiving end of the numbers game for weeks.

Despite that, Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana can still go against The Hurt Syndicate. In fact, during a recent appearance at the K&S WrestleFest virtual signing, he even refused to seek any help to deal with their foes.

Swerve Strickland's manager clarified that they were not looking to recruit anyone on the AEW roster. However, Prince Nana left the door open for some temporary alliances in the future.

A former WWE writer just went after JBL for his comments HERE

"We don't need to recruit nobody. We have all these independent superstars on the AEW roster. If they want to come and be an ally to the boss, Swerve Strickland, you're more than welcome, my friends." [H/T Wrestling Inc]

Swerve Strickland had some allies to deal with The Hurt Syndicate at AEW Worlds End

The hesitancy of Swerve Strickland and Prince Nana is understandable, considering their past. Both men were members of the Mogul Embassy before the faction betrayed them last year.

However, they did have some backup at last month's AEW Worlds End pay-per-view. Daniel Garcia and Mark Briscoe joined Swerve and Nana to fight off the threat of The Hurt Syndicate.

In the same signing, Nana mentioned:

"You saw what happened at the Hammerstein Ballroom," Nana said. "The Hurt Syndicate — what can they do, alright? We have two of the top ... in-ring performers that have our back for now," he said. [H/T - Wrestling Inc]

Moreover, as witnessed on Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen, Swerve Strickland was brutally assaulted by Ricochet. After that, he was seen receiving assistance from Adam Cole and The Undisputed Kingdom, hinting that he could have found more allies in his war.

While Prince Nana has ruled out recruiting superstars for a potential faction for now, he could change his mind after witnessing the attack on Strickland by Ricochet. He has aligned himself with The Hurt Syndicate, so it will be interesting to see if Nana would reconsider his decision moving forward.
