Former WWE Champion Chris Jericho has claimed that a popular AEW star reminded him of Dusty Rhodes. Chris also said that he wanted to help the star reach new heights ahead of their match.

The star in question here is the current ROH World Champion, Mark Briscoe. Mark has been with Tony Khan's promotion since last year and is a top name in its sister promotion, Ring of Honor as well. He is also known for his time in the popular tag team The Briscoes, along with his late brother, Jay Briscoe.

Meanwhile, Mark Briscoe is set to defend his ROH World Title against Chris Jericho at AEW WrestleDream this weekend. Ahead of their match, Jericho put over Mark by drawing comparisons between him and Dusty Rhodes.

During a recent appearance on Busted Open Radio, Jericho stated that he wanted to help Mark Briscoe get to the next level through their title match at WrestleDream this weekend.

Corey Graves deleted his Tweet! More details HERE.

"We're going to beat the hell out of each other. He's batsh*t crazy. What a talent that connects with the audience. I'm not going to say Dusty Rhodes because no one is Dusty Rhodes. He doesn't look like the typical wrestler; he doesn't act like the typical wrestler. He's a special talent and a special character. I want to help him get to the next level," Jericho said. Chris Jericho on what motivates him to keep wrestling

Many fans on the internet believe that it's time for Chris Jericho to retire from in-ring action. However, the veteran is still not done yet and keeps going. In the same episode of the Busted Open Radio, the former AEW World Champion commented on what motivated him to keep going.

"I still love the business. The moment I feel, and no one else, the moment I feel I can't contribute at the highest level, I'll step back. Everybody that I work with... I watched HOOK the other day and thought, 'This kid has learned. He's really starting to get it.' Not just because of me, but working with Samoa Joe as well. We're helping elevate these guys," he said. [H/T: Fightful]

Only time will tell when the 53-year-old legend finally decides to hang up his boots.
