Sammy Guevara on being Cody Rhodes' last opponent in AEW
Cody Rhodes returned to WWE after leaving All Elite Wrestling. Sammy Guevara was his last opponent in the promotion at Dynamite: Beach Break in 2022. The Spanish God recently addressed the match.
In a chat on the DDP Yoga YouTube channel, Sammy Guevara praised Cody Rhodes for performing at his best in the match and appreciated the latter's mindset when it comes to wrestling.
“Going into that match, Cody, you know him. He wants to give the people a show they’re never gonna forget. I didn’t know it at the time; maybe he did, but that was also his final AEW match. He could have easily phoned it in, but he gave it 110%. He wanted to do so much craziness, and so going into it, I know what Cody’s mindset is; it’s just go balls to the walls," he said.
The fans will have to wait and see if Sammy Guevara returns to singles competition in All Elite Wrestling after his ROH run.
