An AEW star seemingly paid homage to both Seth Rollins and CM Punk during his match on Dynamite this week. The moment took place after RAW's Netflix debut episode.
The AEW star Buddy Matthews competed in a singles match this past Wednesday on Dynamite. Buddy wrestled Will Ospreay in an amazing bout filled with some crazy spots. Although Matthews didn't succeed in winning the match, he sure reminded everyone why he is one of the best in-ring performers in the World today.
During his match on Dynamite, Matthews also paid a noticeable homage to both CM Punk and Seth Rollins, who had a main event match on RAW's Netflix premiere episode. Buddy got Ospreay into a torture rack on Dynamite and hit a reverse GTS of sorts from the same position and didn't stop there as he went ahead for a Stomp as well.

For those who don't know, Go To Sleep is the finisher of Punk whereas the Stomp is the finishing move of Seth Rollins. It was definitely a hard thing to pull off both the GTS and Stomp in succession after the torture rack but Matthews absolutely perfected it.
CM Punk announced himself for the 2025 Royal Rumble
After defeating Seth Rollins in the RAW's Netflix debut episode, CM Punk gave a post-show interview to Jackie Redmond where he announced that he will be in the 2025 men's Royal Rumble match calling out both Gunther and Cody Rhodes as well:
"46 is just a number. 1 through 30, just numbers. Royal Rumble, you’re next on the list. Gunther, I’m coming for you. Cody, I’m coming for you. I’m Mr. October. I’m Game Seven. I’m Clutch. I’m the Best in the World," Punk said.
Moreover, The Second City Saint is definitely one of the favorites to win the 2025 men's Royal Rumble match set to take place in a few weeks. It remains to be seen how The Road to WrestleMania for Punk is going to be.
