An AEW star has given his insights on the downfall of the tag team division in the company. This might wake up some wrestlers as they bid to be the best duo in the division.

Isiah Kassidy and Marq Quenis are the current AEW World Tag Team Champions. Private Party won the titles on Dynamite Fright Night in October when they defeated The Young Bucks. The pair has since enjoyed a steady rise and has been seeing what happens closely as the champions.

Kassidy was speaking to the Charlotte Observer when he opined on how the tag team division of the Jacksonville-based company was once the best in the industry. He said that as the champions, Private Party wanted to reboot the system and bring back the days of glory once again.

“We’re the leaders of the tag division and I want to do a fresh restart. AEW had the throne for the best tag-team division [in the industry], but I think it’s been forgotten about,” he said. [H/T: Fightful]

Matt Hardy gives his thoughts on Private Party winning the AEW World Tag Team Championship

Former All Elite Wrestling star Matt Hardy is one of the most well-known tag team wrestlers on the planet and he knows a pair when he sees one.

A few days after Private Party won the World Tag Team Championship, the former WWE Superstar admitted that he was pretty confident that they would win the titles. Speaking on a recent edition of the Extreme Life of Matt Hardy podcast, he said:

"I was pretty positive they were gonna win from speaking to them. In pro wrestling though, it is never official until it actually happens and it goes down in real time. That was great, I know I made a quick post about them and I even acknowledged how cool it was that we had just won the TNA tag team titles and they won the AEW tag team titles. Very, very cool, all of the Hardy Party is strapped up now with a little bit of gold on the shoulder."

Private Party will hope to lead a tag team revolution in the Jacksonville-based company and forge ahead in the new year.
