Injuries are an unfortunate but inevitable aspect of AEW and wrestling in general. Even if a talent manages to avoid anything serious, bumps, bruises, and black eyes are common mementos of time spent in the ring. Such is the case with Queen Aminata, who took home a souvenir from her recent match with Serena Deeb in the form of a swollen eye.

Queen Aminata and Serena Deeb met on the most recent episode of AEW Collision. The two fought for just over 10 minutes in MassMutual Center in Springfield, MA, with Deeb coming out on top after a hard-hitting contest.

Aminata took a shot to the face during the match, and she's now sporting a swollen eye. Taking to X/Twitter, the Guinea-born wrestler showed off a picture of her injury. A huge mark can be seen on the side of her face, and her left eye is almost swollen shut.

Queen Aminata's injury on AEW Collision is the result of several weeks of tension

Serena Deeb and Queen Aminata went after each other with vicious intent on the most recent episode of AEW Collision. But the intensity of the bout was no surprise, as the tension between the two had boiled over a week before.

Serena and Aminata have had several close calls backstage, but after The Professor lost her match on the September 14 episode of Collision, Aminata found her backstage, and her gloating pushed Deeb over the edge.

The two finally came to blows afterward as Deeb attacked Aminata and locked her in a painful submission.

After that, it was clear that the two were not going to play nice in the ring. That being the case, it's no surprise that Queen Aminata came away with a swollen eye after their match on the latest episode of Collision.
