An AEW star has hinted at still holding some ill-will towards CM Punk. This comes a year after he departed the company due to several incidents in the locker room. The star in question would be MJF.
The Straight Edge Superstar had two unsavory incidents during his time with the Tony Khan-led promotion. He was involved in the infamous "Brawl-Out" incident where he supposedly got into a real fight with The Elite while backstage after All Out 2022. A year later, he had a run-in with Jack Perry backstage during All In which eventually resulted in him being fired from the company.
On X/Twitter, a user shared a photo of an MJF Devil action figure that was signed by Friedman himself. The former AEW World Champion was at a convention in New York over the weekend. He added a two-word message with his autograph, seemingly taking a shot at CM Punk.
"F**k Punk," his autograph read.
The photo of the action figure can be found here.
The AEW star also disrespected a WWE title during the convention
Seemingly at the same convention over the weekend, MJF continued his 'Scumbag' antics by blatantly disrespecting a WWE replica belt.
A fan asked him for a picture and asked him to hold his replica belt of the first WWE Universal Championship. He did as asked, but then held the belt as if he was disgusted by it. Once the photos were taken, he simply dropped it on the floor, and let the fan pick it up.
A clip of this interesting moment can be seen below.
This was typical behavior from Friedman at this point and something that the fans have gotten used to. It is unclear why he made a sudden jab at CM Punk, but it is possible that he knew the person was a fan of Punk and wanted to rub it in.
