Female AEW star Billie Starkz was recently pulled from the Vacationland Cup due to an undisclosed injury. The tourney is set to take place this Saturday in Maine.

The details about the former ROH Women's TV Champion's injury were not revealed but many believe that it might have occurred following it was confirmed that she was taking part in the tournament on August 7. Billie Starkz might be sidelined for several weeks before she could return back to action in the squared circle.

We will have to wait and see if AEW makes an official announcement on Billie Starkz's injury.

Bayley inspired AEW star Billie Starkz to become a professional wrestler

Former ROH Women's TV Champion Billie Starkz has had an inspiring journey in professional wrestling. She quickly became a well-known star on the independent circuit and signed a contract with AEW in 2022. However, she has credited WWE star Bayley for igniting her passion for professional wrestling in her.

In an interview with WrestlingNews.co last year, Billie Starkz recalled how was a huge fan of 'Hugger' Bayley from her early days in NXT. She explained how attached she was to that era and looked back at the matches with the same excitement.

"I was very attracted to Bayley when I first started watching wrestling, especially her NXT era. I remember a lot of that. I was very attached to that part of wrestling. There's still like a part of me who will go back and watch the matches and be like, 'Oh, this is so nice.'" [H/T: WrestlingNews.co]

Billie Starkz has won the ROH Women's TV Title once in All Elite Wrestling's sister promotion, Ring of Honor. It will be interesting to see if she is moved over to the AEW brand in the upcoming years.
