The AEW roster is stacked. There are well over 100 wrestlers, and that means fans often have to go outside of the company to see their favorite All Elite stars. A somewhat controversial star has just issued a statement on how his plans were impacted by a major debacle.
Danhausen signed with AEW in January 2022. He remains under contract and is still a member of the roster. However, the 11-year veteran has not wrestled in the All Elite ring since the World's End pre-show Battle Royal on December 30, 2023. While on some sort of hiatus from AEW, Danhausen has continued to work for top indie promotions such as Game Changer Wrestling and The Wrestling Revolver.
Danhausen has won five out of nine GCW matches this year. The 33-year-old was scheduled for a big intergender match against Masha Slamovich at tonight's GCW So High from Pop's Nightclub in Sauget, IL, but he was forced to back out of the show due to travel issues caused by the CrowdStrike international IT debacle. Danhausen issued a statement to his Fanhausens:
"Hello Fanhausens. The outages caused way too many delays and causing Danhausen to miss his connection to get to STL on time. Support the @GCWrestling_ show regardless and watch on @FiteTV and go live if you can tonight," Danhausen wrote with the photo below.

While Danhausen's AEW future remains up in the air, he has worked one ROH match since Khan bought the company in early 2022 - a win over Brandon Cutler. Regarding GCW, the Detroit native debuted with a win over Charles Mason on March 9 at Ashes To Ashes. His last GCW match was a Mask vs. Mask loss to Microman at Crime Wave on June 29.
Danhausen almost signed with WWE before AEW
Matt Camp previously served as co-host of WWE's The Bump while working on additional digital projects for the company. He was released back in February.
Camp recently revealed how he pitched a role for Danhausen in WWE not long after they met in September 2021. Speaking on his The Wrestling Matt podcast, Camp recalled how he wanted to do a fashion show-like segment on The Bump with co-host Kayla Braxton, Danhausen, Dalton Castle, and RJ City.
"I wanted Danhausen to come work and do things with me and WWE. I had an entire pitch... He was under contract at that time. It never went anywhere, so I wasn't tampering or anything like that. But he was under contract; I think he was doing ROH stuff, whatever it might have been," Matt Camp said.
This was while Danhausen worked for ROH but before Tony Khan bought the brand. Camp continued and said he thought The Kid Gorgeous could bring a lot to the table. He talked more about the pitch with Danhausen, City, Castle, and Braxton.
