A major star has dropped a challenge to a certain AEW veteran, as he will be making his in-ring return after four months in a Texas Death Match. This is set to take place next week on AEW Collision: Maximum Carnage.

Christopher Daniels has had an interesting career trajectory over the past few months. After feuding with The Elite, he was fired by The Young Bucks. Tony Khan then brought him back as an interim AEW EVP to cover for Kenny Omega. Following Omega's return, he has now become an in-ring competitor once more.

The Fallen Angel has gotten into a feud with 'Hangman' Adam Page after the latter refused his help and instead got into a heated exchange with him. Moments ago, Page was featured in a backstage segment as he spoke about his change in demeanor over the past year.

He mentioned that this all began when Swerve Strickland broke into his home. Hangman talked about how that moment changed him forever. Unfortunately, Christopher Daniels was one of those who had to suffer his wrath.

Hangman challenged him to a Texas Death Match next week on Collision, as he wished to settle this with him and send a message.

It remains to be seen how the veteran will fare in his first match since September.
