Mercedes Moné made her AEW debut earlier this year, however, she has quickly established herself as one of the company's most valuable assets. In her debut match at Double or Nothing, she defeated Willow Nightingale and became the TBS Champion. Furthermore, at Forbidden Door, she won the Strong Women's Championship by beating Stephanie Vaquer.
At Blood & Guts, former NWA World Women's Champion Kamille aligned herself with the former WWE Women’s Grand Slam Champion. Later Moné announced on Instagram that partnering with Kamille was just phase one of her plan to take over AEW. This has led to rumors that the 32-year-old is slowly forming a faction with Kamille being its first member.
Here are five stars that could be a part of Mercedes Moné new rumored AEW faction.
#5 & #4 Mercedes Moné has teased an alliance with The Renegade Twins in the past
The Renegade Twins consist of real-life twin sisters Charlette & Robyn Renegade. They currently perform in AEW as well as its sister promotion ROH.
The duo made their debut in the Jacksonville-based company back in early 2022. Furthermore, they have won gold across various promotions, including the prestigious NWA World Women's Tag Team Championship. Although Charlette has been sidelined due to an injury, she is expected to make her comeback soon.
Interestingly, according to Fightful Select, they were present backstage during the June 17, 2024 episode of Dynamite and have reportedly gotten close to Mercedes Moné in recent weeks. This is an indication that they could have a role to play in the TBS Champion's rumored faction. Mone also called them "Perfect for my stardom faction" when she performed in the Japanese promotion
#3. Jamie Hayter
Jamie Hayter is a former AEW Women's World Champion and one of the top faces of the company. She won the belt at Full Gear 2022, held it for 191 days, and lost it to Toni Storm at Double or Nothing 2023.
Unfortunately, the British wrestler has been sidelined due to injury for over a year. Moreover, prominent wrestling journalist, Sean Ross Sapp stated that he hasn't received any information on her return ever since her injury was first reported.
"When she first got hurt, they just put a big TBD on it. They had no clue. They had no idea when that was gonna be up or when she was gonna be back. And that's unfortunate but I haven't heard any movement on that," Sapp said. [H/T -@RealJackCassidy on X]
Even though there is not an exact timeline for Hayter's return, she could add immense value to Mercedes Moné rumored faction.
#1 & #2. The Acclaimed
The Acclaimed, consisting of Max Caster and Anthony Bowens, could be a valuable addition to Mercedes Moné's rumored faction. Not only are the two former AEW World Tag Team Champions but they're also former AEW World Trios Champions (with Billy Gunn). The Acclaimed was also a part of Team AEW which defeated Team Elite in the Blood and Guts Match last night.
Interestingly, Caster is popular for rapping during The Acclaimed's entrance and Moné's cousin is none other than legendary American rapper Snoop Dogg. This could be a common factor and both Mercedes Moné and The Acclaimed could reach new heights with a partnership.
