The American wrestling triumvirate of WWE, AEW, and TNA Wrestling has flourished in the last few years, but major shakeups and disappointments have occurred as well. One of the more controversial personnel moves in the last year was TNA's release of beloved Executive Vice President Scott D'Amore, whom Deonna Purrazzo recently praised.

Scott D'Amore has been involved in wrestling for more than three decades but is most famous for his time in the Nashville-based company. The 49-year-old presided over IMPACT's resurgence following the Covid-19 pandemic and its TNA retrobranding. That is until his contract was terminated in February of this year.

Will Ospreay recently called for the former TNA Wrestling EVP to join All Elite Wrestling and even suggested that Tony Khan put him in charge of ROH. Deonna Purrazzo is another fan of D'Amore, having worked closely with him in the past.

Speaking with Daily DDT, the three-time Knockouts World Champion claimed that AEW would benefit from Scott D'Amore's presence if it were something he was interested in doing:

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

"Yeah, if that's something he's interested in, absolutely. I think that him and I have cultivated such a great relationship through my time at IMPACT, now TNA, and I think that he treats women's divisions so special. He just had that perfect storm, magic sauce with us. He treated us with so much respect and so much dignity. I think if that's something he was interested in doing, it would be to our benefit for sure."

Scott D'Amore called AEW's Will Ospreay "the AJ Styles of this generation"

AEW's Will Ospreay is a big fan of former TNA executive Scott D'Amore, and the feeling seems to be mutual. Before signing with All Elite Wrestling, The Aerial Assassin expressed his interest in working with the Nashville-based promotion.

D'Amore was open to signing Ospreay after his acclaimed run with New Japan Pro-Wrestling, but Tony Khan ultimately won the 31-year-old's services. Speaking with Sportskeeda Wrestling late last year, D'Amore compared Ospreay to AJ Styles:

"To me, Will Ospreay is the AJ Styles of this generation. Much like AJ Styles was able to inspire Ospreay to become what he's become, I think Will Ospreay can inspire an entire generation to be the next generational talent. The next Will Ospreay, the next AJ Styles."

The former TNA Wrestling EVP further expressed his desire to sign the young star. Whether the two will end up working together in the future remains to be seen.
