AEW Worlds End 2024 saw a top star use AJ Styles’ finisher to pick up a massive win. This match made the fans squirm a bit, given what took place.
Worlds End saw the first Continental Classic semifinal match, featuring Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher. The latter played the pantomime villain and worked up the crowd in the only way he could.
The Aerial Assassin, on the other hand, was the ever-loving babyface that the fans loved. The two stars put that dynamic to good use as they started off the match in a brilliant way. The contest eventually moved outside the ring, where Will Ospreay was cut open.
That was going to be a deterrent to the Englishman throughout the match. Kyle Fletcher used that to good effect as he targeted Ospreay from time to time to get the upper hand. After a few near falls and with the match nearing its end, the former AEW International Champion reversed a move and turned it into AJ Styles' finisher, Styles Clash, to score the win.
With this, Will Ospreay qualified for the finals, where he will take on either Kazuchika Okada or Ricochet.
