AEW is looking like a great destination for former WWE names, as yet another has jumped ship to work with Tony Khan’s company. This personality just left the Stamford-based company after 10 long years.
The name in question is none other than artist Rob Schamberger. He is known for his jaw-dropping portraits of wrestling stars and has been wowing fans for nearly a decade. It has now been revealed that he is set to start a new collaboration with AEW.
ShopAEW, where fans can buy the merchandise, took to Twitter to announce the collaboration. They posted a graphic and tagged Schamberger along with the date from when they will presumably start their collaboration.
“4.22.24 @AEW x @robschamberger,” they wrote.
New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE
It will be interesting to see what designs Schamberger comes up with during his time with AEW. Anything similar to what he did with his former company will be a hit with fans and is bound to drive up merchandise sales.
AEW has signed former WWE commentator Carlos Cabrera
Rob Schamberger is not the only former WWE name to come to AEW this week. Tony Khan has gone on to sign former Spanish commentator Carlos Cabrera.
He took to Twitter to announce the signing and gave him the All Elite treatment. He wrote:
“Welcome to the @AEW commentary team tonight on Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite! Carlos Cabrera is All Elite!”
Cabrera will join the Dynamite commentary team along with Taz, Excalibur, and Tony Schiavone. He previously worked for WWE as its Spanish commentator and has recently worked with Lucha Libre. The Mexican promotion is well known to have a great working relationship with Tony Khan’s company.
