Tony Khan lost many talented wrestlers like Matt Hardy, Jeff Hardy, Mark Henry, and many more in 2024. With the company heading into 2025, the AEW CEO addressed the possibility of making some roster cuts.

A few days ago, Khan reported that his company has ceased the production of its Friday Night weekly show, Rampage. The company aired the last episode of Rampage on December 27.

Hours before the last PPV of 2024, AEW Worlds End Tony held a media call. During the call, Josh Nason asked Khan about the repercussions of canceling Rampage and whether it would lead to any roster cuts now that the company would lose over 50 hours of television per year. TK admitted that it was a good question but didn't have an answer because the company hadn't yet planned how to accommodate the change.

Tony Khan comments about Ricochet's gimmick change

Ricochet made his AEW debut at All In 2024 as an entrant in the Casino Gauntlet Match. He arrived in Tony Khan's promotion as a babyface but has had a character change lately. In the past few weeks, the fans saw him shockingly turn into a heel and use unfair means to gain an advantage in the Continental Classics Tournament.

During the Worlds End media call, Arunava Ghoshal of Sportskeeda asked Tony Khan to comment on Ricochet's shocking character change. The AEW head honcho admitted that the star took shortcuts in the C2 tournament but his talent and skills are the main reason for his accomplishments. Khan added that AEW saw an opportunity to make The One and Only tap into his darker side when the fans turned on him.

Mr. High Fly will face Kazuchika Okada in the Continental Classic Semifinal at Worlds End. The other semifinal match will feature Will Ospreay and Kyle Fletcher. The winner of both matches will then square off in the Finals for the Continental Championship.
