"Back in AEW" - Tony Khan announces popular star's return after a 2-year absence

The AEW women's division is stacked. They have numerous skilled names who have years of experience under their belt. Furthermore, a few of them are former WWE Superstars.

One of the earliest AEW signings is the 32-year-old Pennsylvania native, Penelope Ford. Her career in the Jacksonville promotion has been quite lackluster. She has been in a few rivalries but never won a championship to date. Ford's last match took place back in 2022 when she teamed up with her real-life husband Kip Sabian and took on the duo of Jeremy Prophet & Jessika Neri in mixed tag team action. Unfortunately, the star soon after got injured and was sidelined for two years.

Earlier this month, Ford made her All Elite Wrestling return and attacked Jamie Hayter with a steel chair. Furthermore, their rivalry is getting more intense with Dynamite every week.

A few hours ago, All Elite Wrestling's president Tony Khan announced on X (fka Twitter) that Ford and Hayter will lock horns at the November 9 episode of Dynamite, which will take place in Manchester, New Hampshire.

"In 2 weeks, Wed. 11/6 Manchester, NH Wednesday Night #AEWDynamite TBS, 8pm ET/7pm CT @thePenelopeFord vs @jmehytr. After 2 years out, Penelope Ford is back in AEW, with her sights set on Jamie Hayter! In 2 weeks on TBS she will get her wish: Penelope vs Hayter Wednesday, 11/6!"

AEW Dynamite Results for October 23, 2024

In this week's episode of Dynamite new All Elite signing Shelton Benjamin continued his winning streak by defeating ROH World Tag Team Champion Sammy Guevara in a singles match. Furthermore, Kyle Fletcher shaved his head with an electric razor.
