AEW is set to stream on HBO Max starting in January 2025. New details have now come to light on whether the shows will be available in India.
All Elite Wrestling has been having an incredible year thus far. While viewership numbers may be down from previous years and ratings gone downhill, the company still managed to sign a multi-year with Warner Bros. Discovery valued at $555 million.
As part of the deal, AEW content such as Dynamite and Collision will continue to air on TBS and TNT respectively. Starting in January, these shows will also be streamed on HBO Max for subscribers. The pay-per-views will also be available to subscribers at a discounted price.
This has left many fans in India wondering if they will be able to stream their favorite AEW shows online. HBO Max has partnered with JioCinema to bring their content to the platform. As of writing this, an extensive library of Max's hit movies and TV shows such as Game of Thrones are available for streaming to premium subscribers of JioCinema. However, there has been no mention or advertising of AEW on the platform, leaving fans to wonder if Dynamite and Collision will make their way to JioCinema.
Unfortunately for All Elite Wrestling fans in India, a source close to Sportskeeda has confirmed that HBO Max's deal with JioCinema is only limited to fiction and original content. This does not include sports, which means Dynamite and Collision won't debut on the platform.
AEW Dynamite Fight for the Fallen will be simulcast on TBS and HBO Max
The upcoming Dynamite Fight for the Fallen, which is set to take place on January 1, 2025, already has two promising matches lined up. Julia Hart will face off against Jamie Hayter and Adam Copeland will return to action for the first time since his injury when he teams with FTR to face Jon Moxley and the Death Riders. While there were only two matches announced, it promises to be a massive show.
As part of All Elite Wrestling's new deal with Warner Bros. Discovery, the January 1 episode of Dynamite will be simulcast on TBS, TNT, and HBO Max. Going forward, both weekly shows will be available across all three platforms.
It will be interesting to see if this simulcast will help boost viewership and ratings for All Elite Wrestling.
