Worlds End was the final AEW pay-per-view for the calendar year. It featured eleven matches, including the zero-hour bout. Although no titles changed hands on the show, it had several captivating moments in the form of high-octane showdowns and memorable returns.

Worlds End saw the much-anticipated comeback of The Rated-R Superstar Adam Copeland (fka Edge). The 51-year-old signed with AEW in 2023. Unfortunately, he suffered an injury earlier this year during a Barbed Wire Steel Cage match against Malakai Black at Double or Nothing. It looks like the WWE Hall of Famer has completely recovered and has his sights set on the Jon Moxley-led Death Riders.

Adam Copeland's return garnered a thunderous reaction from people in the arena. Furthermore, fans worldwide were ecstatic that the former WWE star was finally back. A few hours ago, the multi-time champion's wife, Beth Phoenix, also reacted to a picture of him alongside FTR from Worlds End.

On her Instagram Story, Phoenix shared the abovementioned photo with the following message:

A top AEW star just called one of his colleagues 'spoiled' and 'narcissistic' HERE.

"Asheville is Ready!" Phoenix wrote and tagged the handles of Copeland, Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood.

The former WWE Women's Champion was seemingly referring to AEW Dynamite: Fight for the Fallen, which would be held in Asheville, North Carolina, on January 1, 2025. For those unaware, Asheville is home to the couple, as well as FTR's Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood.

Adam Copeland, Cash Wheeler, and Dax Harwood are close friends in real life. They recently formed a faction called Rated FTR and are scheduled to lock horns with The Death Riders' Jon Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, and Wheeler Yuta at the upcoming TV special.

AEW star Adam Copeland wants to have an NWA World Heavyweight Title-style match

At the Worlds End post-show media scrum, The Rated-R Superstar revealed that he intended to battle the reigning AEW World Champion Jon Moxley in a hard-hitting NWA World Heavyweight Title-style match.

Copeland further mentioned that a bout between him and The Purveyor of Violence was inevitable.

"Which is to have old, grinding, gritty, NWA World Heavyweight Title matches-type vibe. That's what I wanna get out of him [Moxley], and that's what I'm looking forward to, and it's gonna happen sooner than later."

Since his AEW debut, Copeland has held the TNT Championship twice and has wrestled talented names, such as Kyle O'Reilly, Luchasaurus, Buddy Matthews, and more.
