A member of Jon Moxley's Death Riders faction was dealt a huge blow at a major event. The current AEW World Champion will not be pleased with his stablemate's loss.

The Death Riders member is former WWE star Claudio Castagnoli (fka Cesaro). After failing to advance to the semifinals of the Continental Classic 2024, Claudio headed to Japan for the Wrestle Dynasty event. He was slated for a singles bout against Shota Umino at the Tokyo Dome.

Umino was also a close friend and partner of Jon Moxley in Japan. However, Moxley was one of the reasons for the feud between Shota and Claudio. Speaking of the bout, both Castagnoli and Umino delivered a hard-hitting performance in the ring, and the match ended with the latter registering the win with a Deathrider DDT.

The AEW World Champion will definitely not be pleased with Claudio Castagnoli losing to his former partner Shota Umino. The match at Wrestle Dynasty probably also planted the seeds for a future match between Moxley and Umino.

Only time will tell when the 27-year-old confronts The Death Riders leader and the current AEW World Champion for an eventual match after defeating Claudio Castagnoli at Wrestle Dynasty.
