On the fifth anniversary of AEW Dynamite's premiere episode, it's just been announced that All Elite Wrestling and Warner Bros. Discovery have struck a new television deal. This contract will keep the Wednesday night show and Collision on TBS and TNT, respectively, and bring the promotion's content to the MAX streaming service.
Speculation has been swirling all year in regard to a new contract between Tony Khan's promotion and WBD. Recent reports indicated that the deal was all but finalized. The company has now announced the "multi-platform, multi-year" media rights renewal via social media.
Variety has provided some details on the deal, reporting an upward value of $150 million per year. Here's what Tony Khan had to say in the announcement:
"We are honored to announce the extension of our incredible partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery. This extension continues the tradition of iconic wrestling events broadcast on TBS and TNT, while also establishing a new legacy for AEW through weekly live streams on Max for years to come. We thank David Zaslav, Kathleen Finch and everyone at WBD for their tireless support of All Elite Wrestling since its inception, as well as the AEW fans, talent and staff that helped make this possible."
All Elite Wrestling's content will begin streaming on MAX in January 2025. It's been reported that the promotion's pay-per-views will be hosted on the streaming service as well as weekly television simulcasts.
