A member of the Blackpool Combat Club is set to make his return to a major promotion after more than six months since his last appearance. This would be Wheeler Yuta returning to ROH.

Yuta stands as the promotion's Pure Champion, holding the title for 220 days running after dethroning Katsuyori Shibata. He last defended the title back in December. He then began a run in AEW but was unfortunately on a hiatus from February up to June reportedly due to concussion-like symptoms.

After his in-ring return last month, where he teamed up with the rest of the Blackpool Combat Club to face CMLL's finest, Wheeler Yuta is now set to return to ROH and face Lee Moriarty of Shane Taylor Promotions in a Proving Grounds Match. Should Moriarty win, he would earn a future shot at the ROH Pure Championship.

The Blackpool Combat Club member talked about his time away from the ring

Last month at Dynamite, Yuta made his return to the ring after almost five months. This was the first time in a while that the Blackpool Combat Club was complete.

Wheeler Yuta was backstage later that night with Alicia Atout as he talked about what it was like being sidelined due to the injury.

He talked about how it was hard watching everything from his couch. Yuta was able to keep his Pure Championship despite being out for an extended period, and he was also itching to defend it. He then went into detail about how it felt going through his head injury, and how it was a scary time for him.

"It's been really hard to watch all that from my couch. It's been really hard to have this championship on a shelf... On my TV stand for five months. Just, like, looking at it, not knowing if or when I would get to defend it again. I think when I started wrestling, I kinda came to terms with, like, I was probably gonna leave it physically much worse than when I entered. But when it's your head, when it's your brain, it's pretty scary." [00:31 - 1:28]

But now, after being finally cleared by doctors, Yuta is back like he never left, and back to bringing the fight to others, the mark of a member of the Blackpool Combat Club.
