Former WWE Superstar Bobby Lashley made his debut on tonight's Dynamite. He had been rumored to be AEW-bound for a couple of months.
The Almighty was one of the biggest powerhouses in WWE for many years. He, Shelton Benjamin, Cedric Alexander, and MVP were a huge part of WWE programming during the pandemic era. Later, they were split up, and every member of The Hurt Business soon lost momentum. Bobby was released in August 2024 after his contract expired.
Seeds were planted for the former WWE Champion's arrival when MVP made his debut last month and handed Prince Nana a business card. The card read 'Hurt Syndicate,' meaning he was seemingly bringing his faction to the Jacksonville-based promotion. Montel later brought in his first business associate, Shelton Benjamin on October 2. The duo soon developed heat with Swerve Strickland.
Shelton and Swerve were slated to face each other at Fright Night Dynamite after tensions between them rose. The contest saw both the stars trying to decimate each other. After a hard-fought battle, the former AEW World Champion defeated Benjamin.
While Swerve and Prince Nana stood tall in the ring following the bout, the lights went off for a few seconds and Bobby Lashley officially arrived at AEW. In the closing moments of the show, he, MVP, and Shelton Benjamin destroyed The Realest star.
It will be interesting to see if Bobby Lashley explains his actions on next week's Dynamite.
