Bobby Lashley is gearing up for his AEW pay-per-view debut at Full Gear 2024. The former WWE Champion recently teased the addition of a former ally to The Hurt Syndicate.
Lashley made his debut in the Tony Khan-led promotion at Fright Night Dynamite, joining MVP and Shelton Benjamin in laying out Swerve Strickland after the latter defeated The Gold Standard one-on-one. The New Flavor did not take long to challenge The All Mighty to a bout at Full Gear, and hostilities between the two sides have been escalating since then.
The former Hurt Business has also been active in the recruitment front, with MVP handing business cards to The Acclaimed, Ricochet and Lio Rush over the past few weeks. The Man of the Hour received the offer after losing to Shelton Benjamin in October, and later indicated that he may be interested in aligning with the group when calling out Strickland earlier this month.
A number of AEW viewers have expressed excitement at the prospect of Rush linking up with The Hurt Syndicate. During a recent interview with the Lame Guys podcast, Bobby Lashley, whom the 30-year-old star managed and tagged with during their time in WWE, voiced his approval of Rush joining his faction.

“At the same time, I still pull for Lio. I think Lio would be awesome in the group, too. Either one of those guys would be incredible in the group,” said Lashley. [H/T - WrestleTalk]
AEW's Bobby Lashley wants another former WWE name in The Hurt Syndicate
Another former WWE Superstar and recent AEW signee The Hurt Syndicate seemingly have their eyes on is Ricochet. The One and Only, however, has expressed little interest in associating with the group, despite acknowledging the credibility of its members and his history with them.
Speaking on the same aforementioned podcast, Bobby Lashley heaped praise on Ricochet, claiming that The Future of Flight would be a worthwhile addition to The Hurt Syndicate.
“We’re going to put an ad on Indeed, and we’re going to let people… I don’t know, I love Ricochet. I think everybody loves Ricochet. If you see that guy in the ring, he’s just ridiculous. I think Ricochet would be a great option. I don’t know if he’s going to be that person, though, because there’s another one over there,” he said. [H/T - WrestleZone]
It remains to be seen if Lashley will emerge victorious against Swerve Strickland at Full Gear. On the other hand, Ricochet is set to challenge Konosuke Takeshita for the International Championship at the same pay-per-view.
