A popular wrestling personality has been stripped of his on-screen general manager role in AEW. The star himself announced the same at the 2024 Worlds End pay-per-view.
The huge name in question is none other than Christopher Daniels. He has been in an executive role in AEW since the company's inception in 2019. Daniels is also known for his in-ring career in TNA Wrestling and Ring of Honor. Earlier this year, he was fired from the promotion by the EVPs, The Young Bucks, in kayfabe.
Nevertheless, Christopher Daniels was brought back into the role of an interim EVP by the company's president, Tony Khan. Daniels was like an on-screen general manager in AEW for months, but he has now been stripped of his duties. The veteran showed up at Worlds End 2024 after the 2024 Continental Classic final.
Christopher Daniels announced that he would not present the Continental Title to the winner, Kazuchika Okada, as he was no longer the interim EVP of the company. It was later revealed that the original EVP, Kenny Omega, had returned to resume his duties.
After he is no longer an authority figure on All Elite Wrestling TV, it remains to be seen what's next for Christopher Daniels.
