Reigning American Champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman (MJF) has finally reacted to the reports of his alleged backstage confrontation with Dr. Britt Baker on the 250th episode of AEW Dynamite last month. According to media reports, The Salt of The Earth and The Doctor got engaged in a heated verbal confrontation backstage on the July 17, 2024, episode of Dynamite.
The reports claimed that the altercation ensued after Baker passed some comments against MJF in the female locker room. The comments were communicated to Friedman by his girlfriend, Alicia Atout.
During the confrontation, it was reported that MJF punched a wall. Baker was later suspended for two weeks by the disciplinary committee.
During a recent interview with Cultaholic Wrestling, the 28-year-old squashed the rumors that he barged into the women's locker room to confront Britt Baker and punched a wall. The controversial star claimed that the incident was ''blown out of proportion.''

“Tell me if this passes the smell test. I barge into a woman's locker room. I scream in the face of an 110-pound woman, and then I physically threaten her by punching a wall in her vicinity... and I don't get suspended. Does that pass the smell test to you? Almost everything that was written didn't happen. Everybody has co-workers at work they may not get along with. I have a feeling that this was blown out of proportion because all of the English wrestling commentary places that make money off of people like me," he said. [H/T: Cultaholic Wrestling]
Many fans caught hold of this statement and took to X (Twitter) to share their thoughts on the situation. A section of fans claimed that The D.M.D. was the ''problem'' in the entire saga.

Vince Russo opens up on Britt Baker's alleged confrontation with MJF
Several people have shared their thoughts after the reports of a possible verbal altercation between MJF and Dr. Britt Baker emerged.
Speaking on Sportskeeda's The Wrestling Outlaws, Vince Russo compared the maturity level of current wrestlers with the stars of his generation, claiming ''the boys policed the boys'' in the past and the matter was settled behind closed doors.
"Back in the day, the boys policed the boys. Nobody was getting suspended over issues with each other. It was taken care of behind closed doors. And I say this all the time: there is such a difference in the maturity level of wrestlers today compared to back when I worked. You know wrestlers would get suspended and make no bones about it. But not over personal issues that happened in the back," he said. [6:04 onwards]
Meanwhile, Britt Baker and MJF are set to compete at All In 2024. The D.M.D. will challenge Mercedes Mone for the TBS Title. Friedman, on the other hand, will defend his American Championship against Will Ospreay.
