Bryan Danielson has advanced to the finals of the Owen Hart Foundation Tournament after getting the best of a former WWE Superstar in their first in-ring encounter in over 15 years. This would be PAC (fka Neville).

Both stars last shared the ring in 2009 during the IPW: UK The Sittingbourne Spectacular event. Two years prior, they faced off in ROH Caged Rage. The American Dragon won both of their previous matches.

PAC is not an ordinary competitor, as he has amassed a great resume in his two decades in the industry. In his time with WWE, he became NXT Champion, a two-time NXT tag team champion, and a two-time Cruiserweight Champion. He earned his spot in the semifinals of the Owen Hart Cup Tournament after defeating Claudio Castagnoli.

Bryan Danielson, on the other hand, advanced after defeating NJPW's Shingo Takagi during the Forbidden Door pay-per-view in a high-action about. He was still clearly banged up following his last match.

This was a close match, and it looked like the British star was going to make it to the finals. However, in the end, Bryan was able to come through and get a roll-up pin for a close victory on AEW Dynamite.

Bryan Danielson now has to wait for the results of the other side of the bracket.
