AEW veteran Jeff Jarrett recently addressed Bryan Danielson's potential retirement at WrestleDream 2024. The American Dragon is the current AEW World Champion.

Jon Moxley, who betrayed Bryan Danielson at All Out, is set to challenge him for the AEW World Championship at the WrestleDream pay-per-view event on Saturday. The new Blackpool Combat Club includes Moxley, Claudio Castagnoli, PAC, and Marina Shafir. It will be interesting to see whether Wheeler Yuta aligns with the villainous group by helping Moxley win his fourth world championship.

On a recent edition of his My World podcast, Jeff Jarrett spoke about a conversation he had with some wrestlers and production guys about Bryan Danielson's retirement. The veteran claimed that one day, Danielson would be unable to overcome his physical limitations, which could force him to step away from professional wrestling.

“I came through the curtain last night between Dynamite and Rampage. Obviously, there’s no way I’ll give out any of the names, but it was two production guys and two wrestlers. They were like, they didn’t say these exact words but, ‘This ain’t the last Dynamite you’re going to see Bryan Danielson.’ I said, ‘Well, pal, there damn sure could be a shot at it.’ They said, ‘Ain’t no way.’ Have you seen him walk around? The business is the business and people can read into it in so many different ways, but I just think, Bryan, there’s going to come a night where he can’t overcome his physical limitations."

Double J didn't want The American Dragon to hang up his wrestling boots on Saturday after WrestleDream, as he believed All Elite Wrestling was blessed to have him.

"I hope it’s not Saturday, I think AEW is blessed to have him around. I think he’s going to be around AEW and inside of an AEW ring for some time to come, but there’s a chance Saturday could wrap it up, his full-time career.” [H/T: Fightful]

Bryan Danielson will retire from full-time in-ring competition after losing the AEW World Championship

The American Dragon shocked the world by winning the AEW World Championship from Swerve Strickland at All In 2024.

Many questioned the decision behind putting the title on Bryan as his contract had reportedly expired before the pay-per-view. However, the former WWE star later confirmed that he would retire from in-ring competition once he lost the World Title.

Many think he could retire at WrestleDream, where he will battle Jon Moxley with the gold on the line.
