Bryan Danielson is set to retire as a full-time wrestler from AEW in 2024. Before hanging up his boots, Bryan will wrestle one of the biggest matches of his AEW career at All In Pay-Per-View. He will take on Swerve Strickland for the AEW World Championship at Wembley Stadium, London.
The 2024 Owen Hart Cup winner has mentioned many times that despite retiring as a full-time star, he will still be a part of the Jacksonville-based promotion. He could have occasional matches in AEW or be an authority figure.
Speaking with Gorilla Position, the 43-year-old star revealed that he is uncertain about his future role in the company. He also stated that he could assist Tony Khan on the creative side.
"So I don’t know, because I don’t know what that looks like. So like kind of how it looks now is I help with creative a little bit. And what that usually looks like is it’s not necessarily a formal creative meeting or anything like that. Tony [Khan] will call me and run some ideas past me, or he’ll say, like, ‘Hey, I was thinking of this. Do you have any ideas for this, or something like that?’" he said. [H/T - WrestleZone]

Bryan Danielson says he cannot wrestle forever
The 43-year-old star has had an eventful career spanning almost 24 years in the pro wrestling industry. He will supposedly retire from weekly wrestling after his three-year AEW contract expires.
While speaking on the Gorilla Position, Bryan Danielson admitted that he cannot be wrestling forever due to his health issues. He was more worried about his style of wrestling being incompatible with his doctors' advice and hence, he thought continuing full-time wasn't an option for him.
“I'm really walking back this idea of wrestling forever. I just don't think I can do it. And especially the style of wrestling. Because this is what’s kind of happened: Doctors have said, ‘Okay, we clear you to wrestle this kind of wrestling,’ and I can't stop myself from doing this kind of wrestling," he said.
It will be interesting to see if Bryan Danielson walks out of the match as AEW World Champion.
