Bryan Danielson and CM Punk arrived at AEW around the same time. The former is still with the company while the latter has left and returned to WWE. Surprisingly, the two never crossed paths in the promotion.

Punk's run in AEW didn't last long. He joined the company in August 2021 after being away from the ring for seven years. During his stint in the promotion, he got into several backstage conflicts, ultimately leading to his departure. His backstage brawl with Jack Perry at All In 2023 was the final nail in the coffin.

Bryan Danielson, who reportedly led the disciplinary committee that ultimately decided to terminate The Best in the World from AEW, became a part of the Jacksonville-based company in September 2021. However, the two stalwarts of the industry never faced each other inside an AEW ring.

During a recent interview with Inside The Ropes, he was asked how he felt not getting to wrestle The Second City Saint in the All Elite ring.

Willow Nightingale wants to have an inter-gender match with Bryan Danielson

Bryan Danielson has been reported to be on the verge of hanging up his wrestling boots. He won the AEW World Championship at All In and has stated that when he loses the belt, he will call it quits.

Speaking on Sportskeeda Wrestling with senior editor, Bill Apter, Willow Nightingale expressed her desire to face The American Dragon in an inter-gender match.

"I'm a huge Bryan Danielson fan. Obviously, he recently announced his title reign is the end of the line for him. Whenever he loses it, he says it's done. I would wanna be one of those people. That would be cool," Nightingale said.

When asked further about if she would like to beat him, she stated that getting inside the ring alone is a monumental achievement for her. She doesn't want to get a win over him.
