Bryan Danielson left WWE three years ago in 2021. But he recently alleged that he had received a legal letter from the Stamford-based promotion.

The American Dragon was in World Wrestling Entertainment for around 15 years. He won many accolades during his run in the promotion. He left the company in 2021 to join Tony Khan's All Elite Wrestling the same year.

During his stint in the global sports entertainment juggernaut, Bryan Danielson popularised his 'Yes' chants. A while ago, he tried to trademark the said phrase. However, when he filed to trademark the chant, WWE allegedly contacted him and told him that doing this was infringement.

The former WWE star, speaking on Luke James Chats stated:

New Champs in WWE! More RIGHT HERE

"Well so, it’s weird. I applied for it (‘Yes’ chant trademark) but then I got — it wasn’t necessarily a cease and desist. I got some sort of legal letter from WWE (he laughed). Listen, listen, it’s really weird because my manager just texted me and said, ‘Hey, this thing is available. Do you wanna get it?’ And I was like, ‘How much does it cost?’ And it wasn’t that much and I was like, ‘Okay, sure’ and then, shortly after that, I got an email from WWE saying, oh, ‘This is infringing’ on this or that or whatever and I’m like, ‘Dude, I’m not trying to sell anybody anything. I just do my thing.’ [H/T: POST Wrestling]
