Buddy Matthews finally addresses potential match against Dominik Mysterio 

AEW star Buddy Matthews has just made a bold claim regarding a potential one-on-one contest against Dominik Mysterio. Matthews had spent some time in WWE previously where he was known as Buddy Murphy.

Matthews and Mysterio have often been linked to one another after the latter was revealed as a love interest of Rhea Ripley on-screen, while the former is the real-life husband of Ripley. However now that Dom has turned on Rhea, the couple are seemingly united on the same front regarding how they feel about him.

During his recent Instagram Live as he was working out, Buddy Matthews was asked whether he would go one-on-one with Dominik Mysterio. He claimed that there was no way that he would lose to Dom unless he was a chicken tender, and Dom was hungry. Rhea Ripley was heard laughing around in the background, as it seems she too agreed with this take from The House of Black member.

"The only way Dom would beat me is if I was a chicken tender and he was hungry," said Matthews.

Almost a month ago, Buddy had hopped on to Instagram Live and he was asked by fans about his take on Dom.

The fans deemed this as the "Dom Problem," as he has been a thorn in the side of many across the industry, and is still one of the top heels in the business right now.

The Australian star claimed that there was a simple solution to the "Dom Problem," and that they were looking at it.

"There's one correction to the Dom problem, and you're looking at it," Matthews said.

This has been a match that many have been clamoring for as this would be like real life and kayfabe crossing paths. Unfortunately, both stars are from rival promotions, and with Matthews reportedly staying with AEW for a few more years, this may not happen anytime soon.
