The House of Black could get one step closer to obtaining the AEW World Tag Team Titles this week on Dynamite. Buddy Matthews has sent a social media message addressing the faction's opponents for this week's show, the latter being none other than FTR.
On the November 9 edition of Collision last week, the former AEW World Trios Champions picked up a dominant win against The Iron Savages. Afterwards, The House of Black were accosted in the ring by FTR, following which Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood addressed the two teams' brand-defining rivalry on the Saturday night show so far, before bringing up their upcoming clash on Dynamite this week.
Dax the Axe then asked which two among Malakai Black, Brody King and Buddy Matthews would represent their house against the Top Guys on November 13. The Kings of The Black Throne stepped forward in response, and Malakai proceeded to tersely wish Harwood and Wheeler good luck for next week.
The matchup between FTR and Malakai Black and Brody King has since been made official for Dynamite this Wednesday. The winning team will move on to Full Gear 2024 to challenge for the AEW World Tag Team Titles in a four-way match also involving defending champions Private Party, The Outrunners, and the winner of LFI vs The Acclaimed next week on Collision.

Buddy Matthews recently took to X/Twitter to address his House of Black stablemates' upcoming bout against FTR on AEW Dynamite, writing:
"Respect goes a long way! Clash of styles - trio [experts] vs tag team experts. May the best men win! And we all know... the house always wins!" - wrote Matthews.

Matthews was notably involved in his stable's intense feud with FTR - that also saw the inclusion of Daniel Garcia - from earlier this year. He also successfully defended the World Trios Title alongside Black and King against Harwood, Wheeler and CM Punk on one of the earlier episodes of Collision in 2023.
Buddy Matthews was in action on Fright Night AEW Dynamite
Prior to dismantling The Iron Savages alongside his teammates this past week on Collision, Buddy Matthews was in action on the October 30, 2024 edition of Dynamite. His opponent was none other than Adam Cole, who was making his in-ring return after an extensive injury-related hiatus.
The Panama City Playboy succeeded in defeating the Australian in his comeback bout, the aftermath of which set the stage for a match between Cole and Matthews' stablemate Malakai Black. The latter would also take a loss to the Undisputed Kingdom member in a controversial finish last week on Dynamite.
