AEW's Buddy Matthews has shared a non-PG social media message for his wife and top WWE Superstar Rhea Ripley. The couple officially tied the knot earlier this year.
Matthews is currently signed with AEW, where he debuted in 2022 as an ally to Malakai Black and Brody King. The three men, as members of The House of Black, formerly held the AEW World Trios Championships, which they unsuccessfully tried to regain in a London Ladders Match at All In 2024 last month.
Prior to his arrival in AEW, however, Matthews wrestled in WWE, where he had found success in singles and tag team action, and held the Cruiserweight Title, as well as the NXT and RAW Tag Team Titles. The Best Kept Secret worked with several top names during his time in the sports entertainment juggernaut, including Rey Mysterio, Seth Rollins and Kevin Owens.

On the other hand, Matthews' wife, Rhea Ripley, is one of the top stars of WWE's women's division. The Nightmare is currently seeking revenge - alongside Damian Priest - against the newly-reformed Judgment Day and against her rival, reigning Women's World Champion Liv Morgan.

A few hours ago on Instagram, Buddy Matthews posted a story which seemingly referenced the imminent arrival of Halloween and the so-called "spooky season," a much-anticipated time for enthusiasts of scary and horror media. The 35-year-old star tagged Rhea Ripley in the post, which was worded in witty but non-PG language.
"ITS OFFICIALLY RUB HER B**TY & WATCH SCARY MOVIES SEASON. [autumn leaves emoji] [heart emoji]," said the post shared by Matthews.

Buddy Matthews failed to reclaim the AEW World Trios Titles with Brody King and former NXT Champion Malakai Black at All In 2024. However, the Melbourne native returned to winning ways this past week on Collision, where he defeated 25-year-old up-and-comer Komander in singles action.
On the other hand, Rhea Ripley and Damian Priest defeated Dominik Mysterio and Liv Morgan at WWE Bash in Berlin last month. The Eradicator also chased Morgan away into the crowd on Monday Night RAW this week during Finn Balor and JD McDonagh's match against Priest and Main Event Jey Uso.
