Dr. Britt Baker, DMD, made a shocking return at AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door last night, confronting Mercedes Mone after the latter's victory over Stephanie Vaquer. WWE Hall of Famer Bully Ray has now presented his take on The Doctor's character and what she should do next.
Baker had been absent from AEW television since last September. The 33-year-old has earned a lot of respect among the All Elite Wrestling faithful, having been the first woman ever signed by the company and a former Women's World Champion. Fans were ecstatic to see her last night and gave her one of the biggest reactions at the pay-per-view.
Bully Ray had a lot to say about the good doctor on the Busted Open podcast. The WWE Hall of Famer noted that Baker has no choice but to be a massive babyface after the reaction she received, and he urged AEW to send her out into the crowd to cut a promo against Mercedes Mone.
"We heard the ovation last night," said Bully. "Britt Baker is a babyface as of right this very second. She is a babyface; she should be used like a babyface; she should be given verbiage as a babyface; she should be doing babyface stuff. If I was Britt Baker, the very first promo I cut in an AEW ring with this return, if she's face to face with Mercedes, I would have Britt Baker tell Mercedes, 'You know what, Mercedes? Hold on. I'm gonna go hang out with the people that actually mean something to me in this place.' I would have Britt Baker jump the guardrail and go cut her promo in the middle of the people."

Bully further opined that Baker should lean into the love the audience has for her and run with that to take up a babyface role in the Jacksonville-based promotion. She and the fans together could go on to challenge The CEO for walking in and taking everything away from them.
"That's how you make a babyface. Go up amongst the people, go sit with the fans, cut your promo right there and tell her, 'This is what you're up against. You're not just up against me, Britt Baker, DMD. You're up against an entire fanbase of AEW fans who I have loved from day one and who have loved me from day one, and I'll be damned if you're just walking in here and taking everything from us,'" said Ray.
Britt Baker will be on this week's AEW Dynamite
AEW x NJPW Forbidden Door 2024 featured plenty of highlights, but fans are still gushing over Dr. Baker's return. After her extended absence, The Doctor seems keen to address her followers.
AEW interviewer Lexy Nair caught up with Britt after her blockbuster return, but the 33-year-old claimed that she was saving her comments for this Wednesday's episode of Dynamite.
"Actually, Lexy, I have a lot to say, but I'm gonna wait and say it Wednesday night on Dynamite."
Despite AEW having beefed up its women's division considerably in the last year, Baker is still a top star and a foundational presence in the company. She seems to have aligned herself against TBS Champion Mercedes Mone, but when and where the two will clash remains to be seen.
