WWE backstage interviewer Cathy Kelley has responded to a current AEW star after he offered to help Rhea Ripley after a heartbreaking betrayal at SummerSlam 2024. That would be none other than Buddy Matthews.
The Eradicator had a forgettable night in Cleveland as she not only failed to reclaim the WWE Women's World title from Liv Morgan but also lost Dominik Mysterio. The two rivals went back and forth to push each other to the limits.
The entire complexion of the match changed when Dominik Mysterio prevented Rhea Ripley from using the chair on Liv Morgan so that she wouldn't get disqualified.
However, that turned out to be a ploy as Dom distracted the referee moments later, allowing Morgan to hit Ripley with an Oblivion on the steel chair to retain her title. With a smirk on his face, Dominik Mysterio showed his true colors in the post-match when he kissed Liv Morgan in front of Rhea Ripley.

Following the match, Buddy Matthews tweeted an interesting message, requesting Tony Khan to let him help his wife in WWE. However, Cathy Kelley playfully shut down the idea by saying the AEW President has said "no."

Dominik Mysterio's betrayal wasn't the only shocking swerve tonight. Finn Balor also turned his back on Damian Priest, costing him his WWE World Heavyweight Championship.
It will be interesting to see what the company has in store for Judgment Day next.
